Faith in the Fire

My aunt recently shared a story with me that totally boosted my faith! She is the youngest of my maternal grandmothers children and she was also the caregiver to my Nana, who had been sick with congestive heart failure and COPD for years. Her heart was functioning. Not at full capacity of course, but it was beating. Over the years, her COPD diagnosis had progressively gotten worse and she was bound to 24 hour oxygen.
My aunt was there tirelessly through the decline of my Nana's health. During of the last days of Nana's life on earth, she was in and out of consciousness. This particular time, my aunt was helping her to the restroom. As my aunt was pulling down Nana's pants, my aunt said "Oh mommy, God is so good!" To which Nana replied "God is great! I’m just waiting on him to heal me and if He doesn’t that doesn’t mean that he can’t" Now mind you she could barely talk some days, but to muster up enough strength to get that phrase out with boldness and confidence, was a blessing in itself.

Her display of faith literally wrecked me! She knew those were her last days, but instead of living them out sad and depressed for her current situation, she chose Faith! She understood that God has all power in His hand and that He may not heal her how WE want her healed, but He was going to heal her nonetheless.
Her demonstration of faith reminded me of three Hebrew boys,
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were summoned into the fiery furnace for now bowing to King Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel 3:17-18 "if we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and if he will deliver us from your majesty’s hand but even if he does not, we want you to know your majesty that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." God did honor their faith and allowed them to come out of the furnace unscathed.
We are legit living in the last days. Our faith needs to be strengthened like never before. Regardless of our current situation, we need to understand that God is with us and He is for us. The result may not come out how you plan it, but know that his plan is better than yours. You may be in the fire, but you are not alone God is with you. He will never allow you to fail. You have two options, you can either tell your problems about God or you can tell God about your problems. He is the ultimate problem solver. Allow him to lead and guide you.
Sis faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1) We are instructed to walk by faith, that means you are not walking by what you see. You are walking by what you believe God‘s perfect will is for your life. In order to increase your faith walk, you need to:
Get into His word. You will not understand who He is or what He says if you’re not reading his word. (Matthew 4:4)
Communicate with your Father. Prayer is vital to your faith walk, You are seeking God for His will for your life. (Romans 12:12)
See yourself already out of the situation. God word tells us that His word will not return to him void. God has spoken over you before the foundations of the world. Trust that He will take care of you, (Mark 9:23
